Day 9 - 10 & 11
LOTS has happened since we blogged last.. Day 9 & part of 10 they put the pans up for the foundation. Day 10 at approx 1:30 PM they started the pour. After 9 cement trucks, 65 yards of cement and 2-1/2 hours later we had a foundation! I watched the entire pour and it was the most amazing thing I've seen in a long time.

From the road you can see the boom truck, the cement trucks back up to it and pour the cement into a hopper and the boom truck pumps it out of a big hose....
Someone holds the hose over the pans but it's really an operator with a remote control joy stick that guides the hose into position so it pumps into the spaces between the pans and the others smooth out the tops, this is the walk-out end of the house....
Mike Anderson is the operator with the remote control....
This is the back of the house....
About 3/4 of the way through the pour it POURED rain, a little damage to the driveway but NO one got stuck, the excavator came later and smoothed it out.

Sue, Steve,
Looking good. You did somthing to improve you pictures. These are very good, the first ones on the blog are very pixelated. I like your daily pics and the update.
Best wishes for continued good weather, no rain in the southeast metro today!
Ron
